The ramblings of the master Goomba. |
The tone in this shot is incredible, just a man and his car terrorizing the track.

Nothing like a classic bug done up right.
Recently rediscovered this blog, I remember when me and Jeff started out shooting around the same time on a site. He went an incredible 1,000+ days of a photo each day. His work is stunning, defiantly cool to see the progression of his work.

Of course as I start getting back into using my tumblr I fell off the face of the earth for about two weeks it felt like, this was because I was gearing up for my trip to a friends wedding in Fayetteville, AR. They hired me to do some party photos for their wedding which I’ll include in my story here of the weekend.
Had quite the adventure flying down to AR; first I almost left my phone in my parents car after being dropped off at the airport, second a lady decided to have a heart attack in the flight which led to me barely making my connection to Fayetteville. Once all this was resolved we hit the town hard with boozing, I didn’t take my camera out the first night so I’ll fast forward that. The adventure started with us discovering all the haters in this freaking town, it wasn’t till we hit the nightlife that things started to be positive.
First we head out to Dickson street after a successful Rehearsal and some great food to a place called Shotz. The only kick ass thing about here was the shot glasses made out of ice that you thus throw into the ground after taking the shot. The dealbreaker, the amount of sugar in what we decided to order, maybe 1/32 part liquor 31/32 sugar lolz:

After crushing this place, we walk up Dickson Street for the next spot. I forgot the name of the club we rolled into but there was a very killer Piano Bar attached to it.

As we walk in, we take complete control of this place. It was very evident that the goombas in there weren’t bringing the noise as I like to call it. So we made sure to step things up a bit, even turned a girl straight with the dance moves. Realtalk.net folks!

So after a great night, some had it pretty rough with a little to much consumption of booze but that’s how wedding parties go right? So we all wake up, do some last minute decorating and what not of the reception hall and gear up for ROUND 2.
After decorating is complete, that means it’s time to transport to the Chapel to get married. “Going to the chapel and we, gonnnnaaa get married” was the chorus the bus is singing on the way to the show.

Once at the Chapel it’s time for some wedding photos before the ceremony, I was able to capture Chasnie patiently awaiting her next photo op. This was the only time she was able to take a load off.

After the ceremony we are waiting for everybody to leave so we can then load the party bus again, however the party wanted some fun photos. Here we are with what we called the prom shot.

The girls asked if we could get them a Forever 21 photo, I had to comply it was really a fun little improv shoot. I wish I would’ve lugged out some of my lighting gear but that’s okay the noise adds to the effect slightly.

We are now heading back to the reception hall, one of Chasnie’s favorite songs came onto the radio. Please note the sarcasim, however the capture says otherwise!

We arrived at the reception hall, I took a break while the other photographers cleaned up shop with the wedding party introduction, first dance and dances with the family. Once they left, I was tagged in. The dance floor was a little slow, however once some of the party started getting out there and requesting some songs the DJ kicked it into high gear. Here is the father of the bride doing some line dancing during one of the songs.

11pm time to get kicked out of the reception space. After some cleanup it was time to hit Dickson street again. Bride out in her dress at the bars, the vibe was great!

Overall, a great time look forward to doing these a bit if people are willing to pay ;) With that I bid you farewell.
